DuraSponge - A blown AHAR® rubber compound for enhanced cushioning and durability in the forefoot.
Gel - The ASICS GEL System is based on a special kind of silicone that enables optimal shock absorbtion. Gel Units are strategically placed in the midsole and designed to enable specific functions and positions.
Duomax - A proprietary ASICS® system consisting of two or more different density midsole materials, designed to help correct the degree and velocity of pronation.
spEVA - The SpEVA midsole material provides shock absorption. An improvement upon the ASICS traditional EVA system, balloon-like polymers quickly recover their shape to be ready to absorb the impact of each successive step.
Trusstic - A molded component which reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe.
Forefoot ASICS GEL cushioning system - The silicone-based, GEL cushioning system in the forefoot reduces the loading forces that would normally be applied as the foot moves into propulsion. This reuduces shear forces and along with flex grooves, enchances propulsion.
Rearfoot Asics Gel Cushioning System - When running around the tennis court the foot can typically experience forces of 3 to 5 times the player’s body weight during heel strike. The GEL cushioning system, in conjunction with the midsole material, absorbs these impact forces.
AHAR+ - ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber is a tough compound used at the heavy contact areas of the outsole. it helps to reduce excessive wear. AHAR+ is a lighter version of the general AHAR.
Flex Grooves - These are located in the forefoot and / or rearfoot for increased Flexibility and cushioning.
Asymmetrical Heel - A slightly angled and a-symmetric heel that offers smoother transition from impact to take-off. It also reduces the risk of overpronation
